Europe has a renewed ambition to secure its sustainable raw materials supply for the green and digital transitions.

As part of the European Commission’s 2020 Raw Materials Week, Eurometaux has been holding Raw Materials Dialogues, a series of daily webinars to start turning this ambition into action.

MEP Asimakopoulou took part in the panel “From ambition to action: Investing into Europe’s raw materials resilience and sustainability“. She stressed that “Our approach to achieving raw materials resilience needs to intertwine 1) GEOPOLITICS, 2) SUSTAINIBILITY, & 3)RESPONSIBLE INTERNATIONAL TRADE. Only then, will we have the means to achieve the Green Deal and the Digital Transition. It is crucial we create momentum within the European Union for raw materials supply resilience, sustainability, and diversification. I will remain at the forefront of this initiative.”
